Just look at this goober. He turns 10 months in just a couple of days, but I couldn't just let another month go by!
Wes is everywhere! Shortly after learning to crawl he started pulling himself to a stand and now loves to stand on everything. So now when I go to get him from his crib he is holding on to the side, shaking himself back and forth and yelling at the top of his lungs. One of my funniest mental images.
He is an extremely talkative and noisy little guy, making some of the funniest sounds I have ever heard from a baby (like a guttural "guh" sound, but with his mouth closed--try it, it's actually really hard!). He's also got those hilarious Young eyebrows and uses them often enough that it's one of the things strangers comment on first.
Wes is plenty stubborn, squawking when he wants his mom and toys and food and to be picked up and when he's generally irritated with his brothers (who insist Wes hugs need to be flat on the ground). He is tolerating his dad more and more, though still hits a point when he is getting tired when mom is the only one that can calm him down.
And in true third-child fashion, at his nine-month appointment I was shocked to discover that we hadn't tried, like, half of the developmental milestones. Not that we have any concerns about his development, but who remembers to play pat-i-cake with their third baby? (probably everyone else)
We'll get Luke to do it.
